Adam Stone, a Registered Maine Guide, will lead instruction for the Maine Woodsman Badge. This state-recognized badge serves as a precursor to the Junior Maine Guide Badge, a youth educational program deeply rooted in Maine’s outdoor heritage.
 
The Maine Woodsman program is a long-standing tradition—much like the Maine Guide license itself, which is the oldest and most respected guide license in the United States. Through this program, participants will gain hands-on experience in essential wilderness skills, including fire building, cooking over an open fire, shelter construction, setting up a primitive campsite, axemanship, canoeing, swimming, and navigation using a map and compass, along with additional outdoor competencies.
