Passy River Expedition
June 25 - June 29
Cost: $425.00
Kick off the Summer! Arrive at Camp Forest on Monday morning. Camp at Beaver Camp and hike to the top to see the head waters of the Passy. Travel to the "puy in". Canoe the river and camp along its banks. Learn and practice primitive and canoe skills while you learn of the Ecology of the river. Work on the components of your Beaver or Eagle Badge. This expedition will enhance confidence, and teamwork. Canoe the Passy to Belfast. Plan your triumphant home going from Belfast Harbor.
North Woods Family Expedition
July 30 -August 3
Cost: 1 Parent 1 child: $1,000; 2 Parents, 1 child: $1,500: additional child: $200 each Minimum 3 adults
Travel to the North Woods of Maine. Learn and practice primitive skills in this pristine environment. This expedition will enhance your relationship with your children as you meet challenges together.
Beaver Expedition
August 20 - 24
Cost: $395.00
A wonderful first expedition, the Beaver Expedition offers five days of exploring the headwaters of the Passagassawaukeg River in Brooks, Maine. The expedition begins at Camp Forest on Monday morning. After packing all the necessary gear and practicing with it a bit, we hike to Half Moon Pond and set up a primitive campsite. The week is spent exploring, fishing, canoeing, and visiting the beaver. A hike to the top of the mountain reveals a surprise. This expedition is open to all campers who are ready for a wilderness camping experience.
Deposit: $100.00 and is non-refundable.
Requirement: The Passagassawaukeag River Trip will require a transportation waiver.
Cancellations: An Expedition may be cancelled if there are less than the required number of participants registered. Register early to ensure your spot!
Refunds: A full refund will be issued if the expedition is cancelled due to low registration. Paid fees, except registration fee, will be fully refunded if a cancellation request is made at least one week in advance.
Registration: Expedition space is limited. Spots fill up quickly. Register early to ensure your spot. Requested expedition is considered secured upon receipt of full payment.
Camp Forest Expedition/Counselor Ratio:varies according to the expedition but is no greater than 1:5.
