Coyote Learning
Coyote teaching is is an approach that is similar to the Socratic method but less systematic. A coyote teacher answers questions with questions inspiring natural curiosity and emphasizing inspiration, interaction, connections and creativity.
The week is generally divided up into activities that will provide continuity and opportunity for skill building. Hikes are generally planned for Tuesday and Thursday and a group game for closure on Friday.
At Camp Forest, campers may work toward the Osprey, Eagle, or Beaver award and/or the State of Maine Junior Maine Woodsman and Maine Woodsman awards.
